Mrs. Mooneyham was my neighbor and my teacher. She loved teaching. Her English history classed were always as dramatic as she was demanding. I learned a lot from her.
Mrs. Mooneyham was my Latin teacher for 3 years. To this day I tell stories about her and her "Ides of March" armbands and pop quizzes. I still remember that Gaul is divided into 3 parts.
Mrs. Mooneyham was my English History teacher. The book was about 3" thick, and she knew every word, and what was on every page! I was by turns terrified of her and held her in my deepest admiration. I was also really excited to be able to take English History at Lanier. I think she finally accepted (March, 1966) that I knew a thing or two about it, having been fascinated by it since I was 5. That dropped her jaw, and we were a lot more cordial after that. I really liked her.
