John E. Rogers, 79, a lifetime resident of Montgomery, Alabama, died on Saturday, May 23, 2015. He is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Lucille Rogers; brother, Marvin Rogers Jr. and sister, Mittie Cardwell.
Survivors include his wife, Darlene Rogers; sister, Eva L Horn; children, John Rogers Jr. (Nikki), Stephanie Rogers Anderson (Randy), Patsy Smith, Phyllis English (Jerry) and Victor Best; grandchildren, Emily Rogers, Molly Rogers, Maddy Rogers, Sara Rogers, Suzy Rogers, Tristan Goggins, Amanda Goggins, Stephanie Rogers, Pete Smith, Serena English, Brian English, Cheryl English Jaye, Kayla English, Summer McDade, Victoria Best; great-grandchildren, Jodie Goggins, Jaxon Reese Goggins, Jordyn Malakai McCary, August Amora White, Ryan Faith Barker, Brandon Rogers, Sean McDade, Noah Jackson McDade, Elizabeth English, Michael English and Devin Jaye.
Mr. Rogers served in the Alabama Air National Guard and retired from Capitol Chevrolet as the Service Director after 21 years.
Funeral services will be at Leak Memory Chapel on Thursday, May 28th at 3:00 PM with Pastor Gary Cardwell officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Pallbearers are Brian English, Tristan Goggins, Kelley Jaye, Jeff Rogers, Jason McDade and Ballard Hillman.
