Robert E. Hull, 78, passed away May 17, 2013, after a brief hospital stay. He grew up in Montgomery, Alabama, graduated from Sidney Lanier High School and the University of Alabama, lettering in golf. He served 3 years in the Army Security Agency of the Military. Robert got great pleasure from his 45-year career in sales and marketing, which afforded him travel and residences in a number of states. Golf and his golfing buddies were a highlight in his life, having been a longtime member of Vestavia Country Club. He was a trustee of Vestavia Hills United Methodist Church and on the Board of Directors of the Sanctuary Club, Hoover, AL. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph E. & Elma Sayers Hull and by his precious daughter Holly. He leaves his beloved wife, Doris Chambliss Hull, after 55 years of marriage; his adored daughter, Joy; three beautiful grandchildren: Morgan, Forrest, & Mary McDaniel; cousin, Dr. William Hull, and the Fox families. Robert gave to his family and his community the gifts of loyalty, kindness, love, honesty and grace. Visitation will be at 10 am at Vestavia Hills United Methodist Church Chapel on Monday, May 20, followed by an 11 am service. He will be laid to rest in the Greenwood Cemetery, in Montgomery.
