Carol Turner, age 79, of Montgomery, AL, passed away Friday, December 11, 2015.
Carol was a beautiful and inspirational woman with a loving soul. She was a member of Aldersgate UMC.
She had a servant's heart and was an example to all who knew her. She cherished her family and friends, and had a genuine love of people.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Beatrice Hay, and her children Karl Blake and Susan Turner. Survivors include her husband of 37 wonderful years, Paul B. Turner, brother Steve Hay, sister Jane Hamn; children Jeff (Cheryl) Blake, Kelly (Steve) Moseley, Jet (Tammy) Turner, and Catherine (Paul) Atchison; grandchildren Tyler Carr, Derek Blake, Andrew Blake, Benton Atchison, Taylor Turner, Cody Moon, and Kyle Moon; great-grandchild, Blake Carr; nephew Nicolas Hay.
Pallbearers will be Richard Fulmer, Paul Atchison, Steve Moseley, Thad Pruett, Charles Stover, Jace Vines, Norman Leftwich, and Glen Holloway. Honorary Pallbearers will be Stuart Whatley, Don Stevens, and her grandsons.
The memorial service will be held Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. at Aldersgate UMC with Pastor Brian Miller officiating. The family will accept friends at 10:30 a.m. prior to services. A private burial will be held for family only.
The family would like to give special thanks to all the staff at Baptist South Hospital. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the charity of your choice, as she gave to so many herself.
