David Grady Culpepper - Class Of 1954

David Grady Culpepper, 88, of Santa Rosa Beach, FL, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2024. He was born on March 16, 1936, in Montgomery, AL, to the late William Rodgers Culpepper and Kathleen Ellington Culpepper. He is survived by his wife, Eveline; his sons, Mark and Walter Culpepper; Derek and Brent Iverson, and his wonderful grandchildren, Macy, Riley, Drexel, Elle, Erich, and Laney.

David was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force, where he served as a pilot. He had a passion for aviation and worked as a commercial pilot for 36 years with Delta Airlines. He loved sailing, working in his garage, and tinkering with his glider planes. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren, who adored him. He had a great sense of humor and a witty personality. His favorite saying was "A wet bird never flies at night".  If you know him, you know why he loved this saying.

A celebration of Dave’s life will be held privately with his immediate family.  Please send flowers to 301 Bay Circle Dr, Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32459.  Dave will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him and will be eternally remembered and loved.
