Marietta Bolling Russell of Pike Road died on November 23, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, Julia Mae Reynolds Bolling and Thadeus Eugene Bolling.

Marietta was retired from the banking industry after many years of loving service to her clients. Before her illness took its toll, Marietta was an active member of the community of Pike Road and Woodland United Methodist Church.

Marietta is survived by her daughters, Catherine Bolling Russell and Ellen Russell-Hatfield; her sister-in-law, Betty Ann Russell; her nephews, Lee M. "Russ" Russell Jr. (Valerie) and Scott C. Russell (Heather); and her niece, Susan Cameron.

The daughters would like to acknowledge with much love and appreciation her beloved caregiver, Joyce Rogers; Dr. George Hardey; Dr. Robert A. Avery; the staff at The Jackson Hospital Blood Center; The Montgomery Cancer Center; and the countless kindness of friends during this long journey.

Services will be held at Leak Memory Chapel on Monday, November 27 at 11:00. The Reverends Tim Meadows and Ashley Davis will conduct the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to:

  • Woodland United Methodist Church
  • Basset Hound Rescue of Alabama.
