Betty J. Watts Wyatt from the Sidney Lanier Class of 1952 lost her battle with Leukemia and passed away on May 25, 2002. Betty was born May 1, 1934 and had just turned 68.

She was living in Mobile, Alabama and is survived by her husband, Gene A Wyatt from the Sidney Lanier Class of 1951. Betty is also survived by her daughters, Deborah Collette and Cathy Wyatt, and her sons, Gene A Wyatt Jr, Richard A Wyatt, and Mark A Wyatt. She is also survived by her brother, Homer A Watts, a member of the Sidney Lanier Class of 1945.

"Cathy Wyatt states, "Betty J. Watts Wyatt was the kindest, most beautiful, most precious lady I've every known. She faithfully and deeply loved her husband of 50 years Gene A. Wyatt. She was always proud of her husband and children and was their biggest cheerleader! She taught Sunday School and was faithful to church. Most of all she loved Jesus with ALL of her heart and prayed faithfully for her family and others. She is with Our Heavenly Father now, dancing, singing and praising Him! We miss her GREATLY!
