Thomas Fred 'Bubber' Noland - Class Of 1952

Bubber passed away at the age of 90 years on Saturday, June 22, 2024, with his two adoring daughters by his side just as he wanted it to be.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Dona R. Noland.

He is survived by his twin daughters, Jenny Loughridge and Susan (Joey) Downey; five grandchildren, Taylor (Zoie) Downey, Noland (Rebekah) McNeely, Evan (Jordan) Hoge, Rebecca (Michael) Clardy, Katie Loughridge; five great-grandchildren, Lane and Stevie McNeely, Elliot and Amelia Hoge, and greatly anticipated baby Downey due in September; two sisters, Gail Bruce and Billie Marie (Jackie) Brannen, and brother-in-law Claud Robison.

He was a faithful member of Morningview Baptist Church for 75 years.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Taylor Downey, and Noland McNeely; his son-in-law, Joey Downey; and friends, Danny Martin, Trey Holley, Stan Cox, and Ben Lott. An Honorary Pallbearer will be his lifetime, “oldest friend since the first grade,” Dan Nolen.

A Celebration of his Life will be held at Morningview Baptist Church on Thursday, June 27, 2024, with Dr. Greg Belser and Dr. Shawn Merithew officiating. The family will receive visitors in the sanctuary from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm with the service immediately following. A graveside service will immediately follow the church service at Alabama Heritage Cemetery.
