Thomas Earl Freeman Sr. (Tom), a life-long resident of Montgomery, died April 18, 2017. The son of Sue Pugh Freeman. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sara Ellen Barfield Freeman and his son, Thomas Earl Freeman Jr.
He is survived by his sons, Jack Barfield Freeman MD (Glenda), Robert Alan Freeman (Andy) and Stephen Randall Freeman (Patty). His grandchildren include Thomas Andrew (Claire), Meri Glenn, Laura, and Cortney. His great-grandchildren include Thomas and Evie.
He was vice president of Bear Lumber Company and Bear Brothers where he worked for 50 years before retirement. He was the founder and first president of East Montgomery's Dixie Youth Baseball and an avid member of Morningview Baptist Church.
A visitation (10:00 am) and Celebration of Life Service (11:00 am) are set for Friday, April 21 at White Chapel Greenwood Funeral Home. Graveside will follow immediately in Greenwood Cemetery. Online condolences may be shared at www.whitechapel-greenwoodfh.com.
