Simpson Edward Vaughn, III, (S.E.), 81, a native of Montgomery and longtime resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, died February 14, 2015. Preceded in death by his parents S.E. Jr. and Mamie B. Vaughn and his beloved wife of 42 years Barbara Downes Vaughn.

Survived by his children Cynthia G. Cockerill (Kyle), Simpson E. Vaughn IV, and Gary P. Vaughn; grandchildren Heather L. Vaughn, Amber M. Vaughn, Simpson E. Vaughn V, Taylor Ann Cockerill, Cameron K. Cockerill, Ashlyn A. Vaughn, and Victoria L. Vaughn; sister-in-law Gaynell Downes; and brothers-in-law Dan Downes and Jack Downes (Julie); several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was a graduate of Lanier High school and Auburn University. Paw Paw loved his grandchildren, golf, and his alma mater ... War Eagle!

Graveside services will be held on Sat., February 28th at 2:30pm at Oakwood Cemetery Annex.
