Jean Annis Sylvest Welch, passed away on October 18, 2007, after a brief illness.
She was the bride of Ed V. Welch for 52 years. She was the mother of Wendy (Grover) Plunkett, Jenny (Dale) Walker, and Eddie (Kathy) Welch and the grandmother of Tyler (Paula), Mary Fran, Jacob, Trace, Cameron, Rebecca, Kelsey, and Laura.
She is survived by her siblings - Carolyn (Bobby) Collins, Burke (Pat) Sylvest, Linda (Jim) Burkman, and Glenn (Denise) Sylvest.
Mrs. Welch was a member of the Grace Pointe Church. She was immensely devoted to her family, friends, and church. Her active involvement in the community included board member and past president of Agape of Central Alabama.
Funeral Services will be held at the Grace Pointe Church on Ray Thorington Road at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, October 20, 2007, with Scotty Harris officiating.
Pallbearers will be Tyler Walker, Trace Welch, Jacob Walker, Dr. Allen White, Dr. Billy Weeks, Dr. Lee Maier, Charlie Stakely, Curtis Jones, Raymond Perdue, and Sparky Allen.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the Elders of the Grace Pointe Church and Dr. Mac Barnes.
Memorials may be made to Agape or the Building Fund at Grace Pointe Church.
