Herbert E. Gay (1933-2018) - Class Of 1951

Herbert E. Gay, a Montgomery Alabama native, was a graduate of Sidney Lanier High School. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Returning to his home state, he graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in Industrial Engineering. While at Alabama, he was a member and served as president of Theta Chi Fraternity.

Herbert is survived by his wife Diane Gilbert Gay, daughter Jennifer, son-in-law David and granddaughter Erin Elizabeth Dickson, sister Carolyn, brother in law Philip LoCascio as well as the Gilbert families, Greg and Margie, Deedie Gilbert Litvine, Marty and Sabrina all of Birmingham and Reggie and Laurie of Auburn Alabama. Herbert also leaves behind nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and our dog child "Beth".

A private memorial service will be held at St. Mary's on the Highland. The family wishes to thank the Oasis Healthcare Staff. Special love and gratitude to Stephanie and Cindy.
