Robert Inman Slaton (1932-2007) - Class Of 1951

SLATON, Robert Inman, 75, died peacefully Tuesday, No­vember 13th, 2007 at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center after an extended illness. Graveside services will be held Friday, November 16th, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at Chappell Family Cemetery, Petal, MS. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, Novem­ber 18th, 2007 at Capitol Heights Methodist Church, Montgomery, AL.  Mr. Slaton is survived by two sons, Robert (Susan) Slaton and Joe (Mary) Slaton; two daughters, Susan (Tommy) Boudreau and Carol (Clay) Bailey; eight grandchildren, Sarah Hubbard, Andrew Sla­ton, Harrison Slaton, Allison Slaton, Sellers Boudreau, Hunter Boudreau, Slaton Bai­ley and Austin Bailey.  He is also survived by three step-children from a previous marriage, Richard (Lynn) Rawlinson, Barbara (Jeffrey) Evans and Beverly (Jerry) Ci­mis; six step-grandchildren, Carey and Lauren de Shazo, Alan and Carly Evans, James and Amy Rawlinson and one step-great-grandchild, Lizziede Shazo-Wilson. He was pre­ceded in death by his par­ents, Mary Morris Slaton and William Harris Slaton, his brother, Bill Slaton and one step-grandchild, Amanda Rawlinson.  The family will receive friends at Moore's Funeral Home, Pet­al, MS on Friday, November 16th at 11:00 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Mobile Infirmary Foun­dation at: Infirmary Founda­tion, P.O.
