Joyce Jones Joiner, of Pike Road, Alabama, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 27, 2015. She passed away peacefully with her family by her side. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Coach Bill Joiner, her mother and father, Murel and Ed Jones, and 10 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Allen and Jill Joiner; daughter & son-in-law, Leslie and Mark Bishop; grandsons, Alan and Brooke Bishop, Brandt Bishop, great-granddaughter, Kate Bishop; sister, Laura T. and John Wright; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a loyal member and supporter of Church in the Pines and Children's Harbor at Lake Martin. Visitation will be at Leak Memory Chapel on Sunday, August 30, 2015, at 12 Noon, followed by her graveside service in Greenwood Cemetery at 1 PM. Pallbearers will be Ed Jones, Ricky Jones, David Jones, Bob Jones, Jimbo Jones, Johnny Wright, and Snoozie Jones. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Children's Harbor - 1 Our Children's Highway, Alexander City, AL - 35010.
