Jo Ann Johnson Moore, 79, a native of Montgomery, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2011. She was preceded in death by her father, Lewis; and mother, Nona Johnson; brothers, Marvin and Albert Johnson; and sisters, Alma Wright and Juliet Bell.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Millard Moore; daughter Cynthia Moore Boles of Pensacola, Florida; and son Steven (Michele) Moore of Montgomery, Alabama; her sister, Frances Johnson Williamson; and four grandchildren, Leslie Boles, Sarah Boles, Meredith Moore, and Katherine Moore.

Mrs. Moore was a charter member of Goode St. Baptist Church and then McGhee Road Baptist Church.

Visitation will be at Leak Memory Chapel Funeral Home on Thursday, December 1, 2011, from 1 pm – 3 pm, with a graveside service immediately following in Greenwood Cemetery, officiated by Brother David Wilson of McGhee Road Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Harold Woodman, James Owen, Phil Owen, Marvin Johnson, Mike Johnson, Donald Bell, and Kenneth Owen.

Honorary pallbearers will be James Wyatt, Greg Easterland, and Larry Forest.
