Edwin "Ed" Lowell Hall (1931-2012) - Class Of 1949

Edwin Lowell Hall, of Lincoln, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at the age of 80. He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Josie Hall. He is survived by his loving wife, Patty Colvin Hall; daughter, Leigh Ann Brubaker; son, Edwin Lowell Hall, Jr. (Allyson); grandchildren, Robert Logan Brubaker, III, Edwin Lowell Hall, III and Evelyn Colvin Hall; sisters, Gloria Caro, JoAnn Rowland and Lynn McGee; as well as many nieces and nephews. "Ed" was born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama and was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was a proud graduate of Auburn University's School of Pharmacy and owned Suburban Pharmacy in Montgomery for many years. He later went on to earn his Ph.D. in Pharmacy from Northeast Louisiana University. Ed taught at the College of Pharmacy at the University of Oklahoma and Samford University School of Pharmacy where he touched the lives of many students. Ed was a Deacon at the Lincoln Baptist Church where he had many friends. He will be remembered fondly for his kind nature and unforgettable sense of humor. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 2nd at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Pell City. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 3rd at 11:00 a.m. at the Lincoln Baptist Church. Burial service at the Lincoln cemetery immediately following the funeral service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Lincoln Baptist Church or the charity of your choice.
