Jacqueline "Jackie" Dickens Parquette, 88, of Montgomery, Alabama passed away peacefully at home December 21, 2017 surrounded by family.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at 2pm at First United Methodist Church of Montgomery located in Cloverdale Park with minister Karl Stegall officiating. Visitation will be from 1pm to 2pm at the church.
Jackie was preceded in death by her mother Rosalie Anderson, her father James F. Dickens, and her brothers James Allen Dickens and Charles Dickens.
Jackie is survived by her husband of 67 years, Frank S. Parquette, daughter, Jennifer Johnston (Steve), son Frank Parquette, Jr. (Robin), sisters Betty Goolsby (Rick) and Georgia Maddox (Larry) and brother Bobby Dickens (Denise), granddaughters Paige McElroy (Jesse), Rebecca Golden (Rodney), Alex Parquette and Meg Parquette and great grandchildren Gregory, Jolee, Liam, Lynleigh, Juda and Colin.
Jackie was long-time and active member of First United Methodist Church and she worked for the Montgomery County Board of Education for 27 years.
.Pallbearers will be Gregory Lowe, Jim Dickens, Jay Dickens, Rodney Golden, Steve Johnston and Mark MacIntosh. Liam McElroy, Jesse McElroy, David Parquette and Stanley Parquette will serve as honorary pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to "Stegall Seminary Scholarship Endowment Foundation" at First United Methodist Church of Montgomery.
