John Taylor Dale - Class Of 1948

John Taylor Dale passed away in Montgomery, Alabama, on January 16, 2024, at the age of 93.
He was born in Montgomery on July 31, 1930, to the late Junius Clark Dale and Carrie Hugger Dale. After graduating from Lanier High School, he went on to study business at the University of Alabama. He was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity. He served in the Army during the Korean conflict. After graduation, he worked in Insurance sales for Dale Stewart Insurance Company, which was later named Dale Farrior Insurance Company. After selling Dale Farrior, he worked in real estate development for the remainder of his career.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Genelle West Dale; his daughters, Laine Dale Filasky (Joe) and Laura Dale Dockery (Jimmy); and his grandchildren, John Taylor Dockery, Katherine Sandra Dockery, and James Forrest Dockery.

A service to celebrate his life will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024
at Landmark Church of Christ, located at 1800 Halcyon Blvd. Visitation will take place at 10:30 A.M. CT, followed by the service at 11:30. A private family burial will take place in Oakhill, AL, at a later date.
