William Brown Britton III (Bud) died Wednesday, March 2, 2016 in Denton TX. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Jerry and Johnny.
Bud was born in Montgomery on March 10, 1930 to William Brown and Elizabeth Britton. He grew up in Montgomery and attended First United Methodist Church, Lanier High School (Class of '48), and the University of Alabama, where he was a member of the ATO fraternity. He lived in Atlanta GA, Weed CA, Rosemary Beach FL and Denton TX.
Bud is survived by his wife, Isabella, daughters Judith and Debra and their husbands, 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; sister Betty Britton Norris (Tom) of Montgomery, nephews Lee Norris (Hilary) of Mt. Juliet TN, Richard Norris (Tina) of Newburgh IN, David Britton (Brookie) of Montgomery, Mark Britton (Gena) of Dothan AL, niece Libby Norris of Montgomery, and sister-in law Judy Britton of Montgomery.
Bud is also survived by his aunt Evelyn Britton, and cousins Barbara Britton of Montgomery, Evelyn Britton Stutts of Birmingham AL, Karen Britton Johnson of Montgomery and Nancy Britton Guilloud of Houston TX.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, March 5 in Denton TX. Memorial gifts may be sent to The Alzheimer's Association .
