Betty Spidle Meriwether, 86, passed away Saturday, September 21, 2013. Graveside services will be at 3:30 pm on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at Greenwood Cemetery with Dr. Lawson Bryan officiating. She was preceded in death by her husband Lee Meriwether, Jr. and sister Martha Spidle Chandler. Betty is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Meriwether Strickland (Keith); Son, Lee W. Meriwether (Carrie); Granddaughters, Stephanie Strickland Phillips (Jason) and their son James Everett Phillips; Ashlee Strickland Friedman (Michael) and their daughter Anna Elise Friedman; Caroline Meriwether Breland (Zac); Elizabeth Anne Meriwether and Catherine Lee Meriwether.
