Laura Berniece Kennedy, 89, a long-time Montgomery resident, died at Wetumpka Health & Rehab Center on Sunday, May 3, 2015.

Born January 7, 1926, to the late John C. and Ida Mae Spires Kennedy, she was preceded in death in March 2014, by a niece, Brenda Evans.

Survivors include a Sister-In-Law, Dot Erikson; Nephew, Larry Kennedy (Barbara); Nieces, Rhonda McGraw (Stan), Jenny Chesnut (Sammy); Great Nephews and Nieces, Travis Evans (Mary Esther), Troy Evans (Micke), Clint Evans, Trey Kennedy (Jessica), Ricky Ganey (Hilary), Paige Kennedy, Erin Adams (Kerry); and ten Great-Nephews and Nieces.

Her Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2015, at 10 AM at Leak Memory Chapel, followed by her Funeral Service at 11 AM. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

She had retired from Western Union and had taught Sunday School at her church, Chisholm Baptist Church, for 38 years.
