Robert P. Richardson (1926-2018) - Class Of 1943

Robert Pierson Richardson, born in 1926, in Montgomery to John Thomas Richardson and Daisy Douglas Wilson, passed away on October 17, 2018, at the age of 92. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, John Douglas Richardson; and sisters, Frances O'Neal, Louise Moseley, and Nellie Lee Walker.

Mr. Richardson is survived by his wife of seventy years, Sarah Cook Richardson; three sons, Dr. Thomas Eugene Richardson (Rosemary) of Decatur, Alabama, Robert Carroll Richardson of Montgomery, and Donald Cook Richardson of Plano, Texas; grandchildren, Joseph Thomas Richardson (Kelly) of Hartselle, Alabama, John Milton Richardson (Molly) of Roswell, Georgia; great-grandchildren, Margaret Ford Richardson of Roswell, Georgia, Milton Brooks Richardson of Roswell, Georgia; and a host of nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be held at Leak Memory Chapel on Sunday, October 21, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. with a Graveside Service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery. Pastor Mark Osgood will officiate.

Mr. Richardson was a life-long resident of Montgomery. He graduated from Sidney Lanier High School and was employed by the Greyhound Corporation for forty-three years. He was a long time member of the Methodist Church and was also a member of the Oak Park Masonic Lodge for over sixty years.
