BAILEY, Carolyn Faulkner, 84, a resident of Snowdoun, AL passed away Tuesday Octo­ber 13, 2009. Visitation will be Thursday, October 15 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Southern Memorial. Funeral Services will immediately follow with Reverend Jay Andrews offici­ating. Carolyn is preceded in death by her husband, Louie John "Jake" Bailey, Jr. of Elba, AL.; her parents, Martin Clau­dis Faulkner, Sr and Sylvania Knotts Faulkner; brother, Mar­tin Claudis Faulkner, Jr. and sister, Lena Francis Cutts. Carolyn is survived by broth­ers, William Gillis Faulkner, Sr.(Rita) of Montgomery, AL & Edward Earl Faulkner (Carol) of Frisco, TX; sister, Barbara Faulkner Jacoby (Glen, de­ceased) of Montgomery, AL and many nieces and neph­ews. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Alabama and spent much of her ca­reer in Civil Service at The Air War College at Maxwell Air Force Base, with the latter be­ing at Gunter Air Force Base in Montgomery, AL. There will be a private family interment at Montgomery Memorial Cemetery Mausoleum. Pallbearers will be Martin Thomas Faulkner, Sr., Martin Thomas Faulkner, Jr., James Edward Faulkner, William Gillis Faulkner, Jr., Taylor Lee King and Judson Scott King. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Snowdoun United Methodist Church, Snowdoun, AL or one's favor­ite charity.
