Frank Herman Frazier (1923-2012) - Class Of 1942

Frank Herman Frazier, age 88, died Sunday, March 4, 2012 at John Knox Nursing Home. Graveside services are scheduled for Thursday, March 8th at 2:00 pm at Greenwood Cemetery. A visitation will be held Wednesday, March 7th from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Leak Memory Chapel. Also there will be a visitation one hour prior to the service on Thursday, March 8th. Mr. Frazier was a 1942 graduate of Sidney Lanier High School and attended Alabama Polytechnic Institute in Auburn. He was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church. He had a 51 year career involvement with the Air Force. He joined the Army Air Force in 1942 as a member of 12th Tactical Squadron of the 320th Bomb Group during World War II. Later he served as a reservist in Korea and then became a civilian contractor. After his discharge in 1946 he went to work at Maxwell Air Force Base with the civil service in Transient Alert interrupted by a brief tour of duty in the Air Force Reserve during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Maxwell 42nd Air Base Wing Alert in 1998. Mr. Frazier was married to the late Eloise McKim Frazier of Montgomery for 65 years. He is survived by his daughter, Frankie Frazier (Dennis) Nordlund of Eclectic; sons, Charles H. (Nancy) Frazier of Montgomery, Albert R. (Linda) Crumley of Equality and William M. Crumley of Equality; nine grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. He is also survived by first cousins James Mills, Jr. of Dallas, TX and Gaylen Schrieber Pugh of Madison, AL, plus numerous other family members and friends. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Covenant Presbyterian Church, 5 Arden Road, Montgomery, AL 36109
