SHEFFIELD, Mr. Emery J., age 86 a resident of Pratt­ville, AL passed away on Saturday, March 14,2009 at his daughter's home in We­tumpka, AL. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 17,2009 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Joseph Catholic Church in Prattville, AL with Father Philip McKenna officiating. Burial will follow at Brookside Me­morial Gardens. Mr. Sheffield was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years, Mary Jo Sheffield and his grandson Tate Black. He served his country during WWII in the Army Air force. He is survived by his sons, Emery B. Sheffield (Sally) of Prattville, AL, William J. Sheffield (Kathy) of Autaugaville, AL; daugh­ters, Edith S. Williams (Duane) of Montgomery, AL, Patricia J. Golson (Grady) of Wilson, NC,and Sunshine Wood (Billy) of Wetumpka, AL. Also surviving are his grandchildren, E.Shane Sheffield (Amy) of Sharpsburg, GA, Dr. E. Scott Anderson (Sandi) of Southern Pines, NC, C. Bryan Sheffield (Michelle) of Wetumpka, AL, R. Miles Sheffield of Millbrook, AL, J. Corey Sheffield of Pratt­ville, AL, J. Cole Sheffield of Autaugaville, AL, C. Ashley Sheffield of Autaugaville, AL, & Nadia A. Wood of Wetump­ka, AL. and eight great grandchildren. Mr. Sheffield also has three step-grandchil­dren and five step-great-grandchildren. The pallbear­ers will be his grandsons and honorary pallbearers will be his son-in-laws. The family will recieve friends on Tuesday, March 17,2009 from 1:00 p.m.to 2:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Prattville, AL. Brookside Funeral Home of Millbrook, AL directing
