Bill Moseley (1923-2015) - Class Of 1941

William Graham Moseley, 92, crossed the way on Tuesday, August 18th. His funeral will be Friday, August 21st, at 2 p.m. at Leak-Memory Funeral Home in Montgomery, Alabama, with Rev. Paul Turner officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 12:30 pm. Burial will follow after the service at Greenwood Cemetery.

Bill was preceded in death by his first wife, Marie Denton Moseley, and his second wife, Caroline Haigler Jackson Moseley; his parents, Callie and O'Jennings Moseley; sisters, Louise Wise, Grace Evans, Agnes Driver, Bobbie Walker; brothers, Max Moseley, Doug Moseley.

Survivors include his brother, Neal Moseley (Adine) of Montgomery; sons, William Moseley, Jr. (Gail) of Tallassee, and Edward Moseley (Kathleen) of Greenville, South Carolina; grandchildren, Graham Moseley (Emily) of Greenville, South Carolina, Neal Moseley of Atlanta, Georgia, Warren Moseley of Koriyama, Japan, and Elizabeth Moseley of Tallassee, Alabama; step-daughter, Genie Jackson Hardin (Patrick); step-grandsons, Scott Hardin and Sean Hardin (Elisa), and step-great-granddaughter, Anna Caroline Hardin, all of Atlanta, Georgia, along with numerous loving nieces & nephews.

Bill was a former athlete and coach at Sidney Lanier High School in Montgomery and the University of Kentucky in Lexington. He was a successful businessman and a former assistant general manager of the Blue-Gray All-Star football game.

He served in the U.S. Army Air Forces from 1943-1946.

Pallbearers will be Graham Moseley, Neal Moseley, Scott Hardin, Sean Hardin, Ronnie Moseley, and Steve Walker.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of Lanier High School athletic teams from the Classes of 1950 through 1954.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association or to one's favorite charity. Online condolences may be made at Leak Memory Chapel.
