Elizabeth Morris Blackmon, age 88, a resident of Montgomery, Alabama passed away on September 6, 2011. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 9, 2011 at 10:00 am at Leak Memory Chapel with the Reverend Glen Pugh officiating and burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Mrs. Blackmon will be dearly missed and remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was an active member of the Hanna Jones Builders Keystone Class and Young In Heart at Aldersgate United Methodist Church. During her lifetime, she touched countless individuals with her generous and loving heart. She freely shared her time and love with her family and friends. She was a loving wife for nearly 69 years having been preceded in death by her husband, Carl whom she met as a young woman. She is survived by her sons Richard (Susette) and Larry (Jean), and grandchildren Stacey (Larry) Norris, Jeff (Lana) Blackmon, Brian (Kellie) Blackmon, Braswell (Alex) Braswell, Ben (Misty) Blackmon, Matt (Rachel) Blackmon, Katie Ingram and sixteen great-grandchildren Kevin, Ryan, Cade, Carlyle, Rachel, Wesley, Browder, Sasser, Elle Caroline, Cates, Mary Beasley, Caroline, Cole, Cooper, Catherine and Aidalyn. The family will receive visitors at Leak Memorial Chapel Thursday, September 8, 2011 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Pallbearers will be Mrs. Blackmon's grandsons and great-grandsons Kevin and Ryan.
