Bruce Garner (1921-2006) - Class Of 1941

GARNER, Bruce, 84, a resident of Montgomery, Alabama died on Wednesday, January 11, 2006. Graveside services will be held on Friday January 13, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Lee Blood-worth officiating. Mr. Garner was preceded in death by his wife Agnes Garner; father, George Harmon Garner; mother, Sallie Lou Favor Garner; and one brother William P. Garner. He is survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews. Mr. Garner served his country proudly in World War Two in the Army Air Corps. He is also known from his years of service as a tour guide at the First White House of the Confederacy as well as a volunteer tour guide at the State of Alabama Department of Archives and History. The family will receive friends at Leak-Memory Chapel on Thursday January 12, 2006 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends and family are asked to gather at the graveside for services. The family will accept flowers or they ask that memorials be made to ones favorite charity. Leak-Memory Chapel Directing
