Evelyn Parish Cooner (1923-2017) - Class Of 1941

Evelyn Parish Cooner, 94, a lifelong resident of Montgomery, Alabama entered her eternal home to be with her Lord and Savior on October 2, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene C. and Lucille J. Cooner, brothers, Walter J. Cooner, Sr., sisters, Lillian E. Cooner, and Betty C. Rushton.

She is survived by her loving twin sister, Emily C. Rabren, nephews, Gregg S. Rushton, Walter J. Cooner, Jr. (Sara), Joseph M. Cooner, Lynn W. Rabren, Richard T. Rushton (Millie), W. Randall Cooner (Levis), Leslie P. Cooner (Alice), niece Rebecca Rabren Blackman (Dan), and a host of great-nephews and nieces, great-great nieces, two great-great-nieces, a great-great-nephew and wonderful friends.

Special thanks to Marie Knott, her loving caregiver, who helped Evelyn make the most of the last year here on Earth.

Visitation will begin at 1 pm and a Celebration of Her Life will be held at 2 pm, Sunday, October 8 at Leak Memory Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Montgomery, Alabama.
