Marjorie "Margie" Long (Hudson) (1922-2008) - Class Of 1940

HUDSON, Margie Long, born January 7, 1922 in Montgom­ery, AL, died on September 27, 2008 after a brief illness.Visitation will be held on Tues­day, September 30, 2008 at10:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, Clo­verdale Park, followed by fu­neral services at 11:00 a.m., with Dr. Lawson Bryan and Dr. Karl Stegall officiating. A pri­vate interment will follow the service. A graduate of Sidney Lanier High School, her ca­reer included several presti­gious positions at Maxwell Air Force Base. After retirement, she was very active at First United Methodist Church. Civ­ic activities included state president of PEO Sisterhood,and various other volunteer work. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chic Frizzle; husband, Jack Hud­son; son, William Clark Frizzle; brothers, John Edward Long, Jr., Jack C. Long, Joe Long, Dan Long; and sister, Edna Mae Long Andrews. Mrs.Hu­dson is survived by her grand­son, Robert Frizzle (Elizabeth); granddaughter, Mary Kelly Sorrell (Walker); great-grand­children, Will Sorrell (Eliz­abeth), Anne Emerson Sorrell, Sam Sorrell, Reynolds Sorrell; brother, Alton Long; sister, Mi­riam Stanley; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pall­bearers will be John Andrews,Sam Sorrell, Will Sorrell, Dwight Long, Mark Meyer, Kirk Andrews, and Steve Stan­ley.
