Nancy Sue Canter (Durham) (1922-2014) - Class Of 1940

Nancy Sue Canter Durham, 92, a Montgomery resident, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, April 3, 2014, as the heavenly hosts opened their arms and welcomed the sweetest of all angels into their midst.

A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, neighbor, and friend, her gracious spirit and infectious smile blessed everyone she met. Her visitation will be held on Monday, April 7, 2014, at 12 Noon, at Leak Memory Chapel, followed by her Funeral Service at 1 PM, with Reverend Earl Crutchfield officiating.

Mrs. Durham is survived by her husband, John D. Durham, Sr.; sons, John D. "Jack" Durham, Jr. (Jamie); Wendell E. Durham (Laurie); and daughter, Nancy Suanne Durham Parnell (Jeff); grandchildren, Christopher Davis Durham and Dillon Robert Durham; Collin J. Parnell (April), and Jonathan Harper Parnell; and great-grandchildren, Alexis Lucas and Aiden Parnell. She was preceded in death by her beloved brother, Wendell D. "Bill" Canter, Jr.
