PIRTLE, Mabel W. died Tues­day, September 25, 2007, at her home. Mrs. Pirtle was a native and resident of Snow­doun, AL. She is preceded in death by her son, Ronald Al­lan Pirtle; a sister, Madine W. Gordon; & a brother, Robert “Bobby” Weldon. Survivors in­clude her husband, Henry Marvin Pirtle, Jr.; one son, Mi­chael Wayne Pirtle & his wife Kathy; one granddaughter, Stephanie Pirtle Jones; two grandsons, Ronald Allan Pirtle, Jr. & Slade Brandon Pirtle; five great-grandchil­dren; Mary Pirtle Evans; & nieces & nephews. Funeral services will be Fri­day, September 28th at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Leak-Memory with Rev. Holly E. Mo­rales officiating, assisted by Rev. Larry Bennett. Burial will follow in Oakwood Annex Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be the fol­lowing: Kolie Clayton, Paul Jones, Jr., Allan Pirtle, Slade Pirtle, Dr. Winston Pirtle, & Paul Van Fleet. Honorary pall­bearers are Pete Arrighi, Larry Evans, Marty Faulkner, Dr. C.F. Floyd, William Grant, Ed Van Fleet, Mark Van Fleet, & Steve Van Fleet. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Snowdoun United Methodist Church or to Wiregrass Hos­pice.
