Francis Smith Williams died February 28, 2016, at the age of 94. She was predeceased by her husband of 70 years, Coleman O. "Buck" Williams, Jr., Brigadier General, USAF (Retired).
She is survived by a son, Coleman O. Williams III of Montgomery, Alabama; Grandchildren Edie Williams Cox of Charlotte, North Carolina; Molly Rozelle Klopfenstein of Atlanta, Georgia; Robert "Skip" Rozelle of Bonair, Georgia; Amanda Harris Box of Selma, Alabama; great- grandchildren, Carter and Amelia Cox; Lauren Lindsey, John Michael and Jeffrey Klopfenstein; Drake and Seth Rozelle; Lane and Ashley Warren; and numerous cousins.
Francis Williams was born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama. During the Second World War she met and married Coleman Williams, Jr. After living all over the world with the Air Force, she and her late husband moved back to Montgomery.
She spent the last forty years of her life living happily in Montgomery with family and friends. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church.
There will be a visitation at Leak memory Chapel, Friday, March 4, from 5 to 7 pm. Services will be held Saturday, March 5, at 10 a.m., at Leak Memory Chapel, to be followed by burial at Greenwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the First United Methodist Church of Montgomery are appreciated.
