Elizabeth Ann Snow (Herbert) (1921-2009) - Class Of 1938

HERBERT, Elizabeth Ann Snow, 88, died Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2009 in Birmingham, AL. Mrs. Herbert was born in Montgomery, at­tended the University of Ala­bama where she was a mem­ber of Alpha Delta Pi Soroity and was a Corolla Beauty. She was a resident of Mont­gomery most of her life until she and her husband, Ed­ward Herbert, moved to Bir­mingham to be close to their daughters. She was a devot­ed wife and mother and loved her family. She was pre­ceded in death by her hus­band of 61 years, Edward Herbert, her parents, Douglas and Mary Whatley Snow, and her two sisters. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Ann Harris (Jerry), Isabel Law­rence (Joseph, Jr.) and Mar­garet Traylor (William P. III); nine grandsons, Robert Harris (Jennifer), James Edward Harris (Elizabeth), Brian M. Harris (Andrea), Joseph Law­rence, III, (Alyson), Christo­pher Lawrence (Tricia), Jef­frey Lawrence (Cheyenne), William Traylor, Andrew Tray­lor and Bolin Traylor; five great grandchildren, Jackson Harris, Jacob Harris, Logan Harris, Chloe Lawrence, and Alexie Lawrence, nieces, Kathy Cashman (Gene), Gayle Svec (Ed) and Betty Sparks (Dave), and nephew, Paul Gilmore II ( Sylvia). Fu­neral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. December 3, 2009 in the Small Chapel at First United Methodist Church, 2416 West Cloverdale Park, Montgomery, AL with Dr. Law­son Bryan officiating. Inter­ment will follow at Green­wood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Presby­terian Home for Children, P.O. Drawer, 577, Talladega, AL 35160.
