Juanita Brown (Broussard) (1919-2010) - Class Of 1938

BROUSSARD, Juanita died in Huntsville, AL on Saturday, February 6, 2010. She was born in Gadsden, AL on Dec. 6, 1919 and lived the majority of her life in Montgomery.  She was a member of Clo­verdale Baptist Church. Her lifelong interest in art led her to volunteer at the Montgom­ery Museum of Art, where she was recognized as Volunteer of the Year. To help the World War II effort, she worked as a purchasing agent for the Fed­eral Government. Juanita Broussard was pre­ceded in death by her hus­band, W.L. Broussard, and her sister, Daphne Etheridge.  Immediate surviving family members are George Brown, her brother, and Jo Brous­sard, her daughter. On Friday, February 12th, a Funeral Service will be held at11:00 a.m. at Southern Memo­rial Funeral Home with Rev. John Tetter officiating.  Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Burial will immediately follow the serv­ice in Montgomery Memorial Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, please send contributions to The Salvation Army, Habitat for Humanity or The Mont­gomery Museum of Art.
