PEAVY, Jean Andrews born on January 20, 1918, passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at the age of 91. Her Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, December 31 at10:00 am at Church of the Holy Comforter with Rev. Drake Whitelaw officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 9:00am prior to the service. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred Summers Andrews & Susan Foote Andrews. Survivors include her husband of 69 years, Hilliard O. Peavy, Jr.; children, Suzanne Peavy King (Edward), Hilliard O. Peavy III (Teresa) & Irene Summers Peavy; grandchildren, Hilliard O. Peavy IV, Edith King Simmons, Suzanne Donley Erdoes, Justin Elliott Peavy, Claire Lynn King, Lucy King Stanley & Andrew Joseph Peavy and 5 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Church of the Holy Comforter, 2911 Woodley Rd, Montgomery 36111 or to John Knox Manor II, 4401 Narrow Lane Rd, Montgomery 36116.
