Doris K. Mathews, age 94, passed away at her home on Wednesday, December 28, 2011. Doris graduated from Sidney Lanier High School, she went onto work as an accountant for Maxwell Air Force Base. She was preceded in death by one brother, Robert W. Mathews, Jr. Doris is survived by two sisters, Ethel McAuley, Grace Starr; a sister– in- law that was very special to her, Anne R. Mathews; four nieces, two nephews, six great-nieces, five great-nephews, seven great-great-nieces and five great-great nephews. Funeral services will be held at Leak Memory Chapel on Friday, December 30, 2011 at 12:00 noon with Reverend Jay Cooper officitaing. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
