Tom Moore   Jim Sauls passed away in [November] of 1980. I don't remember the exact date. Soyna and I were expecting our first child.

Jim was working with a pipe laying company in Wyoming. He came to visit us shortly before Amy was born. He was so excited that we had a kid on the way. Back then, we had no clue whether we had a boy or girl in the works.

When Jim left to head back to Wyoming, we found a gift he left for us. It was a brand new tricycle. Amy was born September 25th of that year. Jim insisted that we send him some pictures, which we finally got around to doing. Right after we sent them, we got word that Jim had been killed in a construction accident.

I went to Big Springs Texas with Bob Shaw for his funeral. When his parents were going through his belongings, they found the unopened pictures we had sent him. They arrived after he was killed. It really disturbed me and Soyna that Jim never got to see our precious little girl before he died.

We explained to Amy when she was older where her tricycle came from and why it was so special. RIP Jim Sauls and all those others of our class that are no longer with us. God bless each of you.
