Linda Joyce Mcilwain (Cocking), 57, passed away peacefully Saturday, November 23, 2019.

Born in New Bedford, Massachusetts, she went to be with the Lord at her mother’s house in Montgomery, Alabama.

She is cherished and survived by her husband, Kevin Mcilwain, her mother and father, Janice and Gordon Cocking, her daughters Lindsey Dawson (Wynne), Lesley Lee (Jacob), and Lacey Hooper (Ally), siblings Donna Baldwin (Bill), Robert Cocking (Elizabeth) and Mary McKee (Mark), grandchildren Lily, Ben, Lucy, Liam, Zoey, Landon, Carson, and her stepson Britt Mcilwain.

She was a tremendous friend to many in the community and actively involved in her church. Most of all, she loved her family and her savior Jesus Christ, always putting them first.

In honor of her fight with cancer, donations in her name can be made to the American Cancer Society.

A visitation for Linda will be held Friday, December 6, 2019, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Ridout's Prattville Chapel, A memorial service will occur Friday, December 6, 2019, at 2:00 PM.
