Anthony "Tony" H. Warner, III (1942-2014) - Class Of 1960

Anthony "Tony" H. Warner, III, 72, SGT, U.S. Army, Ret., of Montgomery, Alabama , passed away on Monday, September 8, 2014.

The son of the late Grace and Anthony "Hamp" Warner. Tony graduated from Lanier High School, and was a huge Alabama fan. He attended the University and later graduated from Troy State University as a member of the Lamba Chi Alpha Fraternity. He was a Green Beret with the United States Army Special Forces.

Tony is survived by his wife, Lana Rose Warner; special cousins, Ricky Hall and Dusty Wilbanks, his "little sister", Frances Kennamer, as well as many other special friends, and his dogs whom he dearly loved.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, September 12, 2014 at Leak Memory Chapel with Bro. Charles Martin officiating. Burial with military honors will be held in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Seaborn Kennamer, Dr. Winston Pirtle, Steve Segrest, Ted Cason, Lanier High School Lunch Group, Green Beret Brothers, Gary Suggs, Bobby Puckett.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Wounded Warriors Project or the Montgomery Humane Society.
