Dianne Grissette (Colquitt) - Class Of 1960

Dianne Grissette Colquitt, formerly of Livingston, Alabama, passed away at the age of 84 on April 3, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Earl Colquitt, and her parents, Walter Joliet Grissette and Josephine Lansdon Grissette.

She leaves behind her children, James Stephen Colquitt (Sandy), Cynthia Colquitt Jones (Guy), six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

Dianne grew up in Montgomery, Alabama. She graduated from Sidney Lanier High School and Huntingdon College. Dianne married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life in the First United Methodist Church of Montgomery. She retired from the University of West Alabama in Livingston, Alabama, as an admissions coordinator after 30 years of service.

She loved spending time with her family, especially with those who called her "Little Granny". She had many interests, such as traveling, pets, cooking, gardening, tennis, bridge, walking, and photography. She was a member of the Sumter County Chapter of the Alabama Wildflower Society and the Primrose Club of Livingston, Alabama.

The family would like to thank her caregivers at The Harbor at Hickory Hill in Prattville, John Knox Manor in Montgomery, and the 3 North medical team at Baptist South.

Graveside services will be held at Greenwood/Serenity Cemetery in Montgomery, on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. with Minister Bob Sandifer officiating.

- Your local Humane Society
- Cahaba River Coalition in Birmingham
