Madelyn Cousin Magruder, age 72 of Bessemer, Alabama, passed away peacefully on Saturday August 5, 2023.

Madelyn is survived by her sister, Gretchen Cousin Autin, her niece Christy Autin Duplantis and husband Eric, nephew Donel Autin and wife Dana, great nieces and nephews Tyler, Saydi, Benjy, Katie, Brittany, Aaron and Aidan. Holding a special place in her heart was her half-brother Bob Moore, his wife Judi, and their family.

She was preceded in death by her husband Douglas Magruder, her parents James T and Christine Cousin, and her brother James (Butch) Cousin.

Consistent with her approach to life, Madelyn will be buried in a simple ceremony at Elmwood Cemetery at 10am on Wednesday August 16, 2023. Her many friends were her greatest pleasure and all are welcome to attend.
