John Douglas Yelverton, Jr., 86, a lifelong resident of Montgomery, Alabama died peacefully at home, on March 5, 2023. His parents, John Douglas Yelverton and Hattie Sellers Yelverton preceded John in death.

He is survived by his sister, Patricia Yelverton; his wife, Glenda Vickrey Yelverton; his children, John Douglas Yelverton, III and his wife, Mary Lee Elmore Yelverton; Noble Crump Yelverton and his wife, Stuart Blount Yelverton; Amy Lee Englezos and her husband, John Costa Englezos Jr. and Charles William (Bubba) Lee, Jr. and his wife, Keri Pruitt Lee; John's grandchildren: Lee Gayle Yelverton, Jane Douglas Yelverton, Katherine Noble Yelverton, Lucy Dunn Massey, John Hall Massey Jr., Charles William Lee, III, Pruitt James Lee, Emily Kimbell Englezos and John Costa Englezos, III.

Friday, March 10th, visitation will be held at First United Methodist Church, 2416 West Cloverdale Park, Montgomery, AL 36106 in the church Fellowship Hall at 10:00 a.m. with a memorial service to follow in the sanctuary at 11:00 a.m.
