James Sentell (1938-2018) - Class Of 1956

Mr. James C. Sentell, 80, a native of Luverne, Alabama, passed away in Huntsville, Alabama on Thursday, April 19, 2018, after a brief illness. Mr. Sentell was preceded in death by his twin sister, Jane Sentell Preiss.

Mr. Sentell was a 1956 graduate of Lanier High School and an alumnus of Auburn University. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps and was a retired engineer from Raytheon Missile Systems in Tucson, Arizona.

Mr. Sentell is survived by his three children, James C. "Jimmy" (Elizabeth) Sentell Jr of Huntsville, John N. (Sarah) Sentell of Palmyra, Virginia, and Dr. Amy (Menno) Roeland-Sentell of Amsterdam; five grandchildren; and his brother, Edgar (Barbara) Sentell of Madison, Mississippi.

Funeral services for Mr. Sentell will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, April 25, at Luverne United Methodist Church with Reverend Ken Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in Luverne Emmaus Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing.
