Robert Paul Hartsfield (1966-2011) - Class Of 1985

HARTSFIELD, Robert Paul, born in Tallahassee, FL. on December 10, 1966, passed away suddenly at his home on March 8, 2011. After graduating high school from Sidney Lanier High School in Montgomery, AL., Robbie enlisted in the Army in 1985. During his years of service in the Army, he served tours in Kuwait, Haiti, Bosnia, and Afghanistan where he was awarded numerous awards and decorations. He achieved the rank of Chief Warrant Officer and retired honorably in September 2005. He was predeceased by his father Ronald Hartsfield, Sr. of Montgomery, AL. He is survived by his two sons Michael and Aaron Hartsfield and their mother Robyn Hartsfield; fiancé Heidi Roehrig; mother Marjorie Sauls-Miller and her husband John Miller; brothers Ronald Hartsfield, Jr., Rodney Hartsfield, Rockney Davis, and Bryan Hartsfield; sisters Michelle Hartsfield- Davis and Dena Pyle; stepmothers Linda Sachar and Linda Hartsfield; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at Oakland Cemetery in Tallahassee, FL on March 18, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. eastern. Funeral arrangements have been made through Culley's Funeral Home, also in Tallahassee, FL.

Scarlet Baxley (Faust) (1985)

I wish I had known Robert was in Tallahassee because I would have made contact with him. So few poets from 1985 in contact these  days. Prayers to his family,
