Biography, Stories, or Comments:

Attended the University of Al, Huntingdon College, graduated from Birmingham Southern College. Studied at the Art Students League in N.Y. City. Was fortunate to paint portraits of 15 Supreme Court Justices and 7 Appellate Court Judges for the judicial buildings of Alabama, 3 United States Senators and the President of Auburn University, and, 13 portraits for the University of Alabama. Included is my love of doing family portraits and children. I've had a great career and hope to keep on until I can't lift a brush. Wink and I live in a small clump of woods where neighbors can't complain of our yard. We married in 1964 while he was working on his masters and then went to medical school 2 years later. 8 years later he went into the practice of Internal Medicine and is practicing at Baptist South in Montgomery.

Our son is an attorney in Montgomery and has 11 year old identical twin sons. Out daughter has lived in England for 20 years, has 2 sons 17, and 11,sings opera, raises and trains race horses. Nothing much normal in this family. She and the family will be gathering here for the March 25th opening of my father, Chuck Whiteheads art show at the Montgomery Museum of Fine Art. He died last Feb. at 94. All of you are invited.

Stories while at Lanier :

One of my favorite memories is art class. How I passed is beyond me. I loved it but remember spending a lot of time sitting on the floor with a class mate, I think he was Pat, being goofy and laughing until tears came in our eyes and we couldn't breathe. Sitting on the floor hiding sort of under the table. I don't remember getting in trouble. I still marvel at how we got away with this.
