Edward Davis Walker was born in Birmingham, Alabama on April 9, 1938 to Thaddeus Walker, Sr. and his wife, Edwina Davis Walker. He graduated in the class of 1956 from Sidney Lanier High School in Montgomery, Alabama. He had attended elementary and junior high school at Cloverdale School located not far from his home on College Street in Montgomery, Alabama. He married 23 November 1961 in DeKalb County, Georgia. He died from a fall from a balcony on 9 July 1996 in Baldwin County, Georgia. He is buried in Memory Hill Cemetery in Milledgeville, Georgia. He had served in the United State Navy for at least 6 years and also served in the Navy Reserve. He was survived by his mother, Edwina Davis Walker, who lived to be over 100 years old. His older brother, Thaddeus Walker, Jr. also lived to take care of his mother.
