Norman Harriss Grider (1936-2005) - Class Of 1954

GRIDER, Norman Harriss, a native of St. Louis MO, and a longtime resident of Mobile, AL, died at his home in Montgomery on Wednesday, February 8, 2005, at the age of 68.  After graduating Sidney Lanier High School and Oklahoma University, he served in the U. S. Army and made a career as an architect. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman P. and Lanell Grider.  He is survived by his daughter, Monica Curtis of Mobile, AL; two grandsons, Taylor and Peyton Curtis; his brother, Maurice Grider of Anniston, AL; and two nieces, Melissa Grider of Woodbridge, VA, and Kristen McCabe of Huntsville, AL.  A graveside service will be held Thursday, April 21, at 11 a.m. at New Hope Cemetery in Pollard, AR, with Brother Loy Culver officiating.  Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Assn. or the organization of your choice.
