LONSDALE, Helen Louise died peacefully at her home on Wednesday, December 10, 2008, after a courageous bat­tle with cancer. She was pre­ceded in death by her par­ents, Roy and Lucy Boggan. Her survivors are her husband of 55 years, Robert Lonsdale; daughter, Kathy Thompson, Cullman, AL; brother, Robert Boggan (Lelia), Montgomery, AL; grandson, Rob Tanksley; and nephews, Glen Boggan, Kyle Lonsdale (Theresa), and Kevin Lonsdale (Deanna).  Helen's hobbies were china painting, oil painting, flower arrangement and growing flowers. She was a volunteer at the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts and enjoyed working there as a Docent.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, Decem­ber 12, 2008 at Leak Memory Chapel with Chaplains Danny Robbins and John Boles officiating. Burial will fol­low at Forest Hills Cemetery.  Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial do­nations to The American Can­cer Society or the Docent Pro­gram at the Montgomery Mu­seum of Fine Arts or the chari­ty of your choice.
