Juliet "Julie" Ruth Ray (Gresham Tierce) (1951-2021) - Class Of 1969

Julie R. Tierce, 69, of Tuscaloosa, passed away on February 19, 2021, at DCH Regional Medical Center.

A visitation will be held on Friday, February 26, 2021, from 12:30-2:00 pm at Memory Chapel, with a funeral service to immediately follow at 2:00 pm from the funeral home chapel, with Brother Mark Burnett officiating. Memory Chapel of Tuscaloosa, a Dignity provider is honored to be entrusted with final arrangements.

Juliette Ruth Ray Tierce was born May 18, 1951, to the late Juliette and Alva Fitzpatrick Ray, Sr. Dependable and hardworking, she worked for 28 years as an Account Executive with ACA (Award Company of America). She lived her life in the spirit of love and accepted others unconditionally. “Julie” as she was affectionately known, was a natural-born caregiver, she loved and cared deeply for everyone, and everything, she came in contact with. Her personal motto was “Trust and Love in all Circumstances.” This conviction carried through into every aspect of her life, as it displayed her infectious personality and contagious sense of humor.

Always sharing her quick wit, humor, and love for sarcasm with others. Julie never met a stranger. She enjoyed UA Athletics and spending time with her family. She embodied a loving spirit and will truly be missed by those she has left behind.

Julie is survived by her husband Brett Tierce of Tuscaloosa; daughter Lynn (Tim) Nichols of Northport; son Tim Jones of Tuscaloosa; grandchild Kimber Nichols and siblings: Bill Ray of Renton, Washington, Emmett (Beth) Ray of Wetumpka, and Pat Ray of Montgomery.
